Competitiveness and irreplaceability of zinc-aluminum-magnesium-coated steel sheets
Finally, we analyze the competitiveness and irreplaceability of zinc-aluminum-magnesium-coated steel sheets.
A. Core Competence
The core competitiveness of zinc-aluminum-magnesium coated steel sheet:
(1) The surface protection ability overcomes the deficiency that galvanized products are easily scratched;
(2) The edge and scratch protection ability can produce products with a thickness of 3~8mm, and there will be no premature corrosion of the edge, but premature corrosion of the edge will occur when the thickness of the galvanized sheet exceeds 3mm;
(3) The corrosion resistance of outdoor exposure is good, and a coating of 300g/m2 can be used to achieve a life span of up to 30 years. However, to achieve a life span of 30 years, a galvanized sheet must exceed 800g/m2 on both sides, which cannot be produced at all.
B. Irreplaceability
In the following occasions, only zinc-aluminum-magnesium-coated steel sheets are used, and other products are irreplaceable:
(1) In occasions of long-term outdoor use, such as high-speed guardrails, thicker product specifications and thicker surface coatings are required. In the past, hot-dip galvanized steel sheets had to be used. After the birth of zinc-aluminum-magnesium-coated steel sheets, they can be used in large quantities to produce these products. Zinc-aluminum-magnesium-coated steel sheets are also widely used in solar equipment brackets, bridge components, etc.;
(2) In the occasions where salt is required to be sprinkled on roads in Europe and other places, if other coatings are used to produce the car floor, it will be corroded quickly, and it must be made of zinc-aluminum-magnesium-coated steel plates. Such cases include seaside villas and other buildings;
(3) For special occasions that require acid resistance, such as poultry houses and troughs in farms, poultry manure is acidic, and zinc-aluminum-magnesium-coated steel sheets that are more resistant to pickling and corrosion must be used.
